Hartman Guide Services SML invites you to a day of fishing fun and games on the famous Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia! With Captain Weston Hartman at the helm, you will fish at the most productive fishing grounds in the area and learn how to land the biggest fish. Captain Hartman is a U.S. Coast guard licensed Captain targeting striped bass.

If you’re a Striper enthusiast, then you’ve come to the right place, because these waters are teeming with the most prized game fish. This means you can expect a wide range of sizes of Striped Bass on your hook; on a certain season, there are a lot of White Perch in the area as well. You’ll use a variety of fishing techniques to catch the stripers like trolling, jigging on a heavy tackle.

Board a 24’ Sea Fox 240 XT (Bay boat) with a 300 HP Yamaha Yamaha V6 F300 engine and you’ll be on your way to the best hot spots in no time. There’s room on the boat for up to 5 anglers, and the whole group can fish at the same time. The boat is equipped with the latest GPS and Fishfinder to help you find your target fish. The boat also has an icebox, live bait well, and wireless trolling motor to help you reel in the best fish in the area.

Everyone is welcome to join even kids or seasoned anglers. Capt. Hartman will provide the best fishing equipment, as well as live bait and lures. All you have to bring is a valid Virginia fishing license.  After the trip, he’ll clean and fillet the catch, if you’d like, so that you can cook it as soon as you come home.
