Owner and Outfitter Zach Petrich has been fishing in paradise valley since childhood. Zach's time on the water has created a passion to share with others the same experiences that he had growing up fishing as a kid. Exploring new places and catching wild trout will surely inspire you as a fly fisherman as well as create a hunger to learn more about the sport and develop new skills that will aid you in becoming a master angler.

River trips are the most popular trip that Paradise Valley Angler has to offer. With the Yellowstone River being right out our back door, its hard to overlook when looking for a high quality trout fishing experience. Trips down the river are typically in a drift boat with two anglers plus your guide. These boats are minimal but designed exactly for the job at hand leaving only enough room for a cooler, some rods and a handful of personal belongings. Typical full day floats range from 5-20 miles depending on variables like wind, water flow and ability level. Floating on Montana rivers allows for an incredibly scenic day apart from the fishing.

A full day trip will include lunch and drinks. Your guide will have a cooler in case you have snacks or drinks you would like to add. Alcohol is allowed in moderation but not provided. Things to have for the day are sunscreen, sunglasses, proper fishing clothes and shoes, and any sort of medical equipment that you could possibly need throughout the day such as an inhaler or epi-pen. Your guide will generally call in a shuttle service to move his/her vehicle down stream to your take out point. In some cases anglers will be asked to use their vehicle as a shuttle car at the end of the day.

Our goal is to teach this sport to everyone and share our expertise with our guests, thus creating a hunger for the sport that will bring you back for more! This trip will be fun, relaxing, exciting, and memorable. Book your trip now with Paradise Valley Angler!
